DOD 680 Analog Delay Modifications
The DOD 680 Analog Delay is a vintage analog delay pedal released by DOD in 1980. It boasts dark, lush analog bucket-brigade delays and has four basic controls: Remote Mix, Local Mix, Repeats, and Delay Time. A 120VAC power cord powers the 680, applied using a physical toggle switch in the upper right corner of the pedal. When powered, a red indicator LED lights up – regardless of whether the pedal is in bypass or engaged.

Mods for the DOD 680 Analog Delay
Retrofit Mod
The main modification I supply for the DOD 680 is a Retrofit Mod. The bucket-brigade device (BBD) chips used in the DOD 680 have a reputation of failing with age. By retrofitting an adapter board, this modification allows the vintage BBD chip to be replaced with a modern one, ensuring a longer lifespan without sacrificing the analog delay tone.
