Electro-Harmonix Deep Freeze Modifications

The EHX Deep Freeze is the sequel to the ever-so-popular EHX Freeze. I’ve come up with several modifications for the original Freeze pedal, both standard and custom. It’s only natural to extend these mods to the Deep Freeze.

The only modification I’ve been able to verify is the External Switch Modification. The new Deep Freeze pedals do not have much space available in it’s Mini-style enclosure. To get around that, I’ve been able to source a 3.5mm jack that’s small enough to fit inside the Deep Freeze.

That means you’ll need to purchase a few accessories to get the modification to work: a 3.5mm to 1/4″ adapter plug and an external footswitch with the normally-closed option.

Modifying a *New* Deep Freeze Pedal
